Trademarks
The following Logos and Wordmarks are Trademarks in various countries in the exclusive use of Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA, also known as DALI Alliance).
Word Trademarks apply regardless of font, style or other properties.

Trademark Usage by Members

Trademarks may be used by DiiA members (including affiliated brands) ONLY.

DALI-2 logo trademark

The DALI-2 logo is used by DiiA members (Regular or Associate) on their certified products ONLY. 

Other use of the DALI-2 logo is not allowed.

► Certified DALI-2 products must be listed in the online Product Database

DALI version-1 logo trademark

The DALI version-1 logo can be used by DiiA members (Regular or Associate) to indicate control gear that are tested for compliance with version 1 of the DALI standard.

► All products showing the DALI version-1 logo must be registered with DiiA and listed in the online Product Database

► DiiA members can also use the DALI version-1 logo to indicate their membership of DiiA.

Logo usage on luminaires

Luminaire makers who are listed as Community members of DiiA, or who are Regular or Associate members, can use the DALI logos on their luminaires. The DALI-2 logo can be used on luminaires containing at least one DALI-2 certified device. For D4i, see below.

D4i logo trademark

The D4i logo may be used by DiiA members on products (inlcuding luminaires) that meet the specific requirements for D4i certification, as defined in the document "D4i Certification and Trademark Use".

DiiA logo trademark

The DiiA logo may be used by member companies to indicate their membership of DiiA. 

Member companies can also use the DALI Alliance logo in the same way.

The Trademarks listed on this page (logos and wordmarks) are reserved for use by DALI Alliance (DiiA) members ONLY.

DiiA membership allows use of these Trademarks in accordance with the DiiA Trademark Guidelines (available to members only).

OEM and ODM products

Products manufactured by a DiiA member, but bearing the name of another company, shall not bear the DALI Trademarks (listed on this page) unless the company name shown on the product is that of a DiiA member.

The DiiA member’s name and manufacturer’s part number, as shown on the product, shall be used for registration or certification and shall be listed in the Product Database.

All Trademark rules described in the Trademark Guidelines also apply to rebranded products.

EXAMPLE:

Member company X makes a product and it is certified and visible on the DiiA website with the brand “X”. This company then makes it available to another member company, “Y”, with the product bearing the branding of company “Y”.

In regards to Trademark use, these are two different products. To allow Trademark use, company “Y” needs to submit the product for certification with this new brand. Trademark use is not permitted until this product is visible to the public in the product database, with the brand “Y”.
