IEC and DiiA sign liaison agreement

DiiA and IEC have signed a liaison agreement, enabling DiiA to contribute directly to the development of IEC 62386, the international DALI standard.

The IEC category D liaison allows DiiA to participate in the relevant work group (WG 11 of TC 34) within IEC. Representatives from DiiA will work with lighting experts from different countries who already contribute to WG 11.

WG 11 develops and maintains IEC 62386, which is published by IEC in multiple Parts (more details).

IEC continues to update existing Parts and publish new Parts, for DALI-2 (version 2 of IEC 62386). See our recent News item. 

Independently from IEC, DiiA develops test sequences for different Parts of IEC 62386. These test sequences allow companies to test their products and show compliance with relevant Parts of the standard. Test sequences are provided as a benefit of DiiA membership.

Also, DiiA develops new specifications, and works with Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) including IEC to develop standards based on these DiiA specifications.
