D4i - Presentations explain how D4i delivers data and power to connect

The DALI Alliance has published a series of presentations entitled “D4i – Data and Power to Connect!"

First, Sree Venkit, System Architect for Connected Lighting with Signify, gives an overview of D4i technology and the relevant specifications, followed by several application examples of indoor and outdoor lighting systems that benefit from the use of D4i / DALI-2 data.

Next, Kevin Fitzmaurice LC, Principal Engineer for Lighting and Smart Services with Georgia Power, describes how D4i and DALI-2 make a significant impact on future proofing and interoperability from a utility’s perspective. Georgia Power is behind several very large outdoor lighting installations that use this technology.

Last but not least, Michael Davidson, System Architect with Synapse Wireless, digs further into the information that D4i and DALI-2 can provide, enabling features such as flexible zoning and energy reporting.
