The DALI Alliance is very pleased to announce that we have reached two important milestones in the past week. The number of certified DALI-2 products now exceeds 2,000 devices, and at the same time our membership has grown to 300 members.
The 2,000th certified DALI-2 product is the DP2 TW 60W Series CC Driver from Zhuhai Shengchang Electronics Co., Ltd. (also known as SC Power). This product is an LED driver that enables Tunable-White colour control by implementing Part 209, colour type Tc. The driver also implements Part 251 – Luminaire Data, which means that it can store luminaire information (typically encoded by the luminaire manufacturer) in one of the driver's DALI memory banks.
DALI-2 certification requires the product to successfully pass a rigorous and comprehensive set of tests based on the international standard IEC 62386. The DALI Alliance independently verifies the test results, and then lists each certified product in its online product database, providing public traceability.
“Our database now contains a very broad range of DALI-2 and D4i products, including LED drivers, sensors, application controllers and bus power supplies,” said Paul Drosihn, General Manager of the DALI Alliance. “We are grateful to all the members who have joined our organization since it was formed five years ago, and have supported our certification programs and other activities.”
Our 300th member is the German company CMC Engineering GmbH, which has joined as a Community member (view the full member list). Community registration is free for luminaire manufacturers, and allows companies to use the DALI-2 and D4i trademarks on their luminaires.
Regular and Associate members of the DALI Alliance are all able to certify their DALI-2 and D4i products. In addition, Regular members can participate in our Work Groups and contribute to the development of test sequences and new specifications (view the list of benefits of different membership classes).
