The DA2 CIS 30 RF868, an RF multi-master controller from Tridonic, is the first D4i luminaire-mounted control device to earn Zhaga-D4i certification. The product is now listed in the Zhaga product database.
Certified Zhaga-D4i control devices have Zhaga connectors and comply with D4i requirements (see below). Eligible devices include light-level or occupancy sensors, as well as control nodes that can communicate wirelessly with external networks.
The Tridonic device is certified according to Zhaga Book 18, and is suitable for outdoor, smart-city applications. According to Tridonic, “municipalities and cities can future-proof their street light investments because they will be able to upgrade their lighting with Zhaga-D4i certified components in the future.”
The Zhaga-D4i ecosystem of lighting products enables smart, future-proof LED luminaires with IoT connectivity.
Certified Zhaga-D4i control devices and luminaires can carry the dual logos of Zhaga and D4i, which together indicate plug-and-play interoperability of sensors, communication nodes and luminaires.
A large number of luminaires have already achieved Zhaga-D4i certification.
First step: D4i certification
As the first step towards Zhaga-D4i certification, the product received D4i certification from the DALI Alliance, which requires successful implementation of the DiiA Specification “DALI Part 351: Luminaire-mounted control devices.” The Tridonic module is a type A device, as defined in Part 351.
D4i enables DALI inside intelligent, IoT-ready luminaires. By taking care of control and power requirements, D4i makes it much easier to mount sensors and communication devices on luminaires.
All D4i-certified products—including D4i LED drivers from a number of suppliers—are listed in the DALI Alliance product database.
