DALI China Summit delivers in-depth dialogue on the direction of DALI-2 in China

More than 320 guests attended the 2nd DALI China Summit: DALI-2 Intelligent Lighting Control & Application Design, which took place on April 9, 2021 in the Xinjiang Plaza hotel, Beijing.

The event, organized by First Design and the DALI Alliance, built on the success of the first DALI China Summit, which was held in Shanghai in November 2019 (more information). The co-organizer of this year’s event was the Beijing Lighting Society. Gold sponsors were the DALI Alliance members Delta, Helvar and NVC Lighting, with support from Silver sponsors Osram and Signify.

The forum guests represented more than 85 architectural, electrical, lighting design and engineering companies and members of the DALI Alliance. According to First Design, the forum has built a practical and effective high-end communication platform for the promotion of DALI-2 in China, and has injected new vitality into the development of DALI-2.

Dou Linping, vice president of the China Solid State Lighting Alliance, and Xu Hua, Chairman of the Beijing Lighting Society delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, which fully reflected the high importance of the forum to the lighting industry in China.

The DALI Alliance participated in the event via a recorded presentation from General Manager Paul Drosihn. Later, the DALI Alliance’s Technical & Certification Manager Scott Wade and Paul Drosihn both joined the event by a live video link to answer questions from the forum attendees in Beijing.

Centred on the main topic of DALI-2 technology and applications, the forum conducted in-depth dialogues and exchanges from the dimensions of lighting design, product advantages, application results and development direction in China, and provided many authoritative and practical opinions and suggestions for the future development of DALI-2 in China.
