Summary:
The DALI-2 certification program implements test specifications that are created by DiiA in the Test & Certification Work Group (T&C WG). The test specifications are derived from the respective Parts of IEC 62386, the international DALI standard, or from DiiA specifications such as those for D4i. DALI-2 now includes all the main product types, namely control gear, input devices, application controllers and bus power supplies. However, DiiA’s T&C WG is working to add further features and functions to the DALI-2 program.
This presentation gives an update on the current status of DALI-2, including the Parts that are already available for certification. The origin of the DALI-2 test specifications and the collaboration with IEC, the standards development organization, are described.
The T&C WG work plan will be explained, with a description of work in progress and future directions. The work is organized in various subgroups, with contributions from volunteers from different DiiA member companies. Activities such as Plugfests (interoperability test events) provide valuable feedback to verify and improve the testing procedures, with a focus on multi-vendor interoperability.
